What a difficult question! I've just read an interesting book about my best favorite painter; the book is " Il colore del sole" and the painter is Caravaggio. I've seen a lot of his paintings and everytime that I stand in front of them I feel involved in that dark atmosphere with the light that touches the essential details showing how realism and spirituality are strictly connected in all his works. As ever, I can't choose only one...I adore impressionist painters and their "impressive" ;) way of painting landscapes...Monet, Manet, Seurat, Cézanne, Renoir... Francesca
I like Keith Haring because he gave colour to the dreary walls of the towns and of the tube stations. He was a genius of creativity, a great communicator, and his drawings seem animated.

ReplyDeleteAn excellent choice, Stefania! ["my favourite"; "every time"]
ReplyDeleteNot forgetting Pissarro (one of my own favourite Impressionists), Francesca.
I'm going to have to google that one, Aleph!
