I read a book by Jerome K.Jerome, there is a very nice phrase:"..work fascinates me, I like it. I could sit for hours whatching it.." Same goes for me whit the english... Paul..did not hate me.. i joke....;-) Francesca
Everyday I devote a few hours to studying English: i like reading lyrics of my favourite songs and translating them. Is it a good way to learn English?
That's a great line, Francesca! Be careful with your "h"s: "watching", "with", etc. We say: "Don't hate me!", which of course I don't, and "I'm joking".
It can be a good way, Adriana, though it's not always easy, partly because song-writers often use poetic licence. But keep doing it! NB You should have said "the lyrics" in this case, as you are being specific.
Every morning I devote two hours to studying english. I read english newsletters. Sometimes it's difficult understanding everything so I try to catch the "general sense" (I'm not sure of these words :-() Raffaella
You write very well, Raffaella: those two hours a day are evidently paying off! Remember you need a capital letter for adjectives of nationality: "English".

ReplyDeleteI must devote more time to studying my English, but now I'm devoting four hours. I should have to do it several times in a day.
